FAQs: Everything You Need To Know About Ordering Fresh, Local Microgreens.

Delivered weekly across Northwest Ohio, Northeast Indiana, & Southeast Michigan.

  • How do I order microgreens from Root & All?

You can order by filling out our contact form or calling us directly at (567) 277-8741. Let us know whether you're ordering for home use, a restaurant, or a retail account, and we'll walk you through current availability, pricing, and delivery scheduling.

  • Do you deliver microgreens near me?

Root & All delivers fresh microgreens weekly across Northwest Ohio, Northeast Indiana, and Southeast Michigan, from our farm in Liberty Center, Ohio. Our regular delivery area includes Toledo, Perrysburg, Maumee, Holland, Sylvania, Rossford, Bowling Green, Findlay, Sandusky, Fremont, Defiance, Huron, Fort Wayne, Auburn, Waterloo, Angola, Kendallville, Bluffton, Jackson, Detroit, Ann Arbor, Monroe, Adrian, and the Irish Hills region. If your town isn't listed, reach out anyway. Our delivery footprint continues to grow, and we're glad to check.

  • How often do you deliver?

We harvest and deliver on a weekly schedule, so your microgreens are typically cut just a day or two before they reach you. Some customers also choose a monthly delivery option depending on their needs.

  • Do you offer a subscription?

Yes. Root & All offers weekly and monthly subscription options, along with one-time orders and custom mixes. Most of our regular customers, both home kitchens and restaurants, are on a standing weekly or biweekly subscription so they never have to think about reordering.

  • What's the difference between a subscription and a one-time order?

A subscription automatically schedules your microgreens for weekly or monthly delivery at a consistent volume, while a one-time order is a single delivery you place as needed. Subscriptions are popular with repeat customers and restaurants that want a predictable, reliable supply.

  • Is there a minimum order size?

Order minimums depend on whether you're ordering for personal use or as a business account, and can vary by delivery location. Let us know your estimated volume, from under a pound to 5-plus pounds or a custom bulk order, and we'll confirm what applies to you.

  • Can I pick up my order instead of having it delivered?

In some cases, yes. If pickup from our farm in Liberty Center works better for your schedule, mention it when you place your order and we'll see what we can arrange.

  • What payment methods do you accept?

We accept standard payment methods including major debit and credit cards. Let us know if you have a specific payment preference and we'll work with you to make it easy.

  • Do you charge a delivery fee?

Delivery fees, if any, depend on your location and order size. We'll confirm any applicable fees upfront when you place your order, so there are no surprises.

  • Can I cancel or pause my subscription?

Yes. Subscriptions are flexible, and you can pause, adjust, or cancel at any time. Just reach out and let us know what change you'd like to make.

  • What if I'm not satisfied with my order?

Let us know right away. We stand behind every tray we grow, and if something arrives short of fresh or isn't right, we'll make it right.

  • What happens if I'm not home for a scheduled delivery?

Let us know your delivery preferences when you order, including where it's safe to leave your box if no one's home. We'll do our best to accommodate a location that keeps your greens protected until you can bring them in.

  • Do you deliver year-round, including winter?

Yes. Because our microgreens are grown indoors on our farm, we're able to deliver fresh microgreens on a consistent weekly schedule regardless of the outdoor growing season. Severe weather may occasionally shift a delivery day, and we'll always communicate any changes in advance.

  • What microgreen varieties does Root & All grow?

We currently grow pea shoots, sunflower, radish, broccoli, and red cabbage microgreens, along with specialty and live tray options depending on the season. Availability shifts week to week based on what's thriving on the farm.

  • Are Root & All microgreens organic?

Root & All grows using 100% organic, non-GMO practices. If certified organic status matters specifically for your purchasing decisions, reach out and we can share more details about our current certifications.

  • How should I store microgreens after they arrive?

Keep microgreens refrigerated, unwashed, in an airtight container between 34°F and 38°F. Stored this way, most varieties stay fresh for 7 to 10 days. Rinse only right before eating.

  • What's the difference between microgreens and sprouts?

Microgreens are grown in soil or a growing medium and harvested above the soil line once true leaves appear, while sprouts are eaten root, seed, and all, just days after germination. Microgreens generally have more developed flavor and a firmer texture than sprouts.

  • Do you sell to restaurants, chefs, or grocery stores?

Yes. Root & All supplies wholesale microgreens to restaurants, caterers, grocery stores, specialty markets, healthcare facilities, and schools throughout our delivery area. If you're a chef or retail buyer interested in a consistent weekly supply, contact us to talk through volume and pricing.

  • Can I request a specific variety or a custom mix?

Often, yes. Depending on what's currently growing on the farm, we're glad to prioritize a specific variety or build a custom mix for your order.

  • Do you offer live microgreen trays instead of pre-harvested greens?

Yes, we offer specialty and live tray options for customers who want to harvest their own microgreens at home, fresh off the tray, right up until they're ready to eat.

  • Are microgreens safe for kids to eat?

Generally, yes. Microgreens grown from safe, food-grade seed are a nutritious addition to meals for the whole family. As with any fresh produce, we recommend introducing new foods to young children gradually and consulting your pediatrician with any specific concerns.

  • Do you offer recipes or ideas for using microgreens?

Yes. Visit our Microgreen Culinary Pairing & Chef's Guide page for flavor pairings, plating tips, and dish ideas by variety, from simple everyday meals to more restaurant-style preparations.

  • What makes Root & All microgreens different from grocery store greens?

Timing. Grocery store greens have often traveled long distances and sat on a shelf for days. Root & All microgreens are harvested on our farm in Liberty Center, Ohio, and typically delivered within a day or two of being cut, which means better flavor, better texture, and more nutrition intact.

  • Why do microgreens cost more than regular lettuce?

Microgreens are labor-intensive to grow well. Each tray is planted, tended, and hand-harvested individually on a short, carefully managed growing cycle, unlike a field crop. The cost reflects that process, along with the concentrated nutrition and flavor per ounce.
